Mountain Peaks Inn, formerly known as Mountains to Prairies, is family owned and operated. We are located in the heart of Hill City and South Dakota’s Black Hills. Our location is ideal, as we are a short walk to downtown Hill City and only a short drive to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Needles Highway, and more. The 1880s Train is just across the street, where you can ride through the Black Hills to Keystone. Pick up the 109-mile Mickleson Trail just a couple blocks east and bike or ride to your heart’s content!
We fell in love with Hill City when visiting the Black Hills in the summer of 2015 and again in 2020. We stumbled upon this beautiful home, which was remodeled by the original owners, Sam and Linda, to accommodate four guest suites. Our suites have been in in operation for 15 years! Sam and Linda have been gracious hosts since 2006. They will continue to be the host and hostess through the 2021 season.
Steve and Lisa Stucky are privileged to home educate their four children, which allows them to own and operate businesses, breed Siberian Huskies, travel and explore new places. Lisa’s parents, Roger and Eileen Himes, and her sister, Shawn Himes live in the Denver area. It is our hope that they will be moving to Hill City in the summer of 2022 and that you will see their faces at Mountain Peaks Inn and Coffee.
We look forward to meeting you! Stop in for a cup of coffee. We hope you love it as much as we do.
